Of course, you should ensure that you choose the best building inspector to do the building inspection for you. A good building inspection company, like Safe and Sound Property Inspections, will have experienced building inspectors who have carried out house inspections all over the country. How we do our inspections

Whether we’re doing a house inspection in Melbourne or a termite inspection Ivanhoe clients have asked us to do, we always talk with the client to make sure that understand just what is included in their inspection. As soon as we know what you need, our team will give you a quote for the inspection and when you have agreed to the quotation price, we’ll arrange a time to come round and carry out the inspection.

During a standard inspection, we’ll check the exterior of the building for any structural issues and we’ll visually check the building’s drainage system too. We’ll then look inside the property and note any internal structural issues, visual dangers we can see with the plumbing and electricity and we’ll check the roof too. Once we’ve got that information, we’ll be done with the inspection. Over the next 24 hours, we’ll get prices for the work that you can expect to have to do and compile the report. You’ll have the report 24 hours after we’ve done the inspection so you can make the decision about whether or not to purchase the property, and you’ll have something to show the mortgage lender.
